Agave blooms are lil desert miracles. After spending years growing close to the ground, the plant sends up a towering stalk that can reach 20 feet or more before completing its life cycle. Captured on film in the Fort Davis Mountains. Printed on museum-quality matte paper with archival inks, preserving the colors, grain, and character of the original film photograph.

Long before I ever made it to Far West Texas, my pockets were full of rocks. I spent my childhood chasing frogs, lizards, and snakes through the creek behind our house. Climbing trees. Scraping my knees. Coming home muddy. Swimming until the sun went down.
The first time I drove into the desert, I remember thinking,
I've been here before.
